Ingredients (Makes 2 round casseroles or 1 large 9×13)
- 2 lbs (900g) ground beef (or mix with sausage)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) low-sugar marinara or pizza sauce
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 3–4 cups (300–400g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional: pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, or your favorite low-carb toppings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Divide mixture between two foil pans or spread in a large baking dish.
- Top generously with shredded mozzarella (and any extra toppings).
- Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Broil for the last 2 minutes if desired for extra browning.
