Welcome to Hantol (hantol.co.uk), a UK recipe website written by Hannah Peterson. These Terms & Conditions apply when you use the site. By using Hantol, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Hantol.

Using the site

Hantol is free to use for your own personal, non-commercial cooking. Please do not misuse the site. For example, do not try to break into it, overload it, copy it with automated tools, or interfere with other readers' use of it.

Recipes, nutrition and food safety

• Recipes are shared in good faith for home cooks. Results can vary with ingredients, equipment, oven temperatures and skill.
• Nutrition information is an estimate. It is a guide only and is not professional dietary advice.
• Allergies and diets: always check the labels of the products you use. A recipe that says it is suitable for a diet, for example "keto", "high-protein" or "diabetic-friendly", is a general guide only. It is not medical advice. If you have a medical condition, allergy or special diet, check with a doctor or registered dietitian.
• Food safety: follow safe food handling. Cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs to safe temperatures. Store leftovers properly, and take extra care when cooking for young children, older people, pregnant people or anyone with a weak immune system.
• Always take care with knives, hot oil, ovens, pressure cookers, air fryers and other kitchen equipment. Follow the maker's instructions.

Our content and how you can share it

All text, recipes, photos, videos, graphics and the design of Hantol belong to Hantol or the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright.

You may:

• print or save recipes for your own personal use;
• share a link to any page, or pin a recipe image to Pinterest using our share buttons, as long as it links back to the original Hantol page.

You may not, without our written permission:

• republish, copy or translate our full recipes, articles or photos on another website, social media account, app, book or publication;
• sell, rent or license our content, or use it to train AI models or build datasets;
• remove copyright or credit notices.

If you would like to feature a recipe, you are welcome to use one photo and a short summary with a clear link back to the original post. Please ask us first at support@hantol.co.uk.

Comments and ratings

We love hearing how a recipe went. When you leave a comment or rating:

• every comment is checked by us before it appears, and we may edit, decline or remove any comment at any time;
• please be kind and stay on topic. No spam, advertising, links to unrelated sites, abusive, hateful, illegal or misleading content, and no other people's personal information;
• you must have the right to post what you share, and it must not break anyone else's rights;
• you keep ownership of your comment, but you give Hantol a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to show, edit for length or clarity, and keep it on the site.

Recipe emails

You can sign up to receive new recipes by email. We will only send them after you confirm your address, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Advertising and links

Hantol shows ads served by Ezoic and its partners. These ads help keep the site free. We do not control the content of every ad, and showing an ad is not an endorsement. Some posts may contain links to products or other websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, privacy or security of other websites.

Availability and accuracy

We work hard to keep Hantol accurate and available, but we cannot promise that the site will always be available, free of errors, or that all information is complete and up to date. We may change or remove content at any time.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, Hantol is provided free of charge and "as is". We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from making any recipe, including any indirect or consequential loss, to the fullest extent the law allows. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
