Ingredients (Serves 4–6 as appetizer)

  • 12 large jalapeños, halved and seeded
  • 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped shrimp, cream cheese, ½ cup shredded cheese, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and cilantro.
  3. Fill each jalapeño half generously with the shrimp mixture.
  4. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  5. Bake or air fry for 12–18 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden and shrimp is cooked.
