Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 8 oz (225g) bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced and sautéed
- ½ cup (50g) grated parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (plus extra for garnish)
Optional Crust (for lower carbs, skip or use almond flour crust):
- 1½ cups (150g) almond flour
- ⅓ cup butter, melted
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). If using crust, mix almond flour, melted butter, and salt. Press into a 9-inch pie dish and pre-bake 8–10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs and heavy cream until smooth.
- Stir in cheese, bacon, mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Pour filling into the crust or directly into a greased pie dish.
- Bake 35–45 minutes until set and golden on top.
- Cool 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with extra parsley.
