Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1 lb (450g) ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup (35g) almond flour or crushed pork rinds
- ⅓ cup (35g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella (plus 4 slices for stacking)
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil (for cooking)
For Serving:
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- Optional: sliced tomatoes, pickles, avocado
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, almond flour/pork rinds, shredded cheese, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined (do not overmix).
- Divide mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into patties (about ½-inch thick).
- Heat oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar on top of 4 patties and let it melt. Stack two patties together for the signature look.
- Serve hot on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes and pickles.
