Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 large egg
  • ⅓ cup (35g) almond flour or crushed pork rinds
  • ⅓ cup (35g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella (plus 4 slices for stacking)
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil (for cooking)

For Serving:

  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Optional: sliced tomatoes, pickles, avocado

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, almond flour/pork rinds, shredded cheese, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined (do not overmix).
  2. Divide mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into patties (about ½-inch thick).
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
  5. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar on top of 4 patties and let it melt. Stack two patties together for the signature look.
