- 1.5 lbs (680g) ground beef
- 6–8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 4 medium zucchini, sliced into rounds
- 2–3 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cups (300g) shredded cheddar cheese (or mix with mozzarella)
- 2 large eggs (optional, for binding)
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning or dried herbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional: ½ cup grated parmesan for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large glass baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Arrange a layer of zucchini slices in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with some chopped tomatoes, cooked beef, bacon crumbles, and a sprinkle of cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese, bacon, and herbs on top.
