Ingredients (Serves 6–8 as appetizer)
- 12–14 large jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella
- ⅓ cup (35g) unflavored or vanilla whey protein powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 6–8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional for extra protein)
- ½ cup sugar-free blackberry or raspberry jam/sauce
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar or lemon juice
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, protein powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and crumbled bacon (if using) until smooth.
- Fill each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.
- Arrange on the baking sheet and bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
