Ingredients (Serves 6–8 as appetizer)

  • 12–14 large jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella
  • ⅓ cup (35g) unflavored or vanilla whey protein powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 6–8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional for extra protein)
  • ½ cup sugar-free blackberry or raspberry jam/sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar or lemon juice
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, protein powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and crumbled bacon (if using) until smooth.
  3. Fill each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.
