This surf & turf skillet is juicy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor—perfect for a fast weeknight meal that’s diabetic-friendly and satisfying!


🥣 Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cubed
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Steak

  • Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high
  • Season steak with salt, pepper & paprika
  • Sear 3–4 minutes until browned
  • Remove and set aside

2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

  • In same pan, add butter
  • Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes until pink
  • Remove and set aside

3️⃣ Sauté Veggies

  • Add peppers, onions & garlic
  • Cook until soft and slightly caramelized

4️⃣ Combine

  • Return steak & shrimp to skillet
  • Sprinkle chili powder + extra seasoning
  • Mix everything together

5️⃣ Add Cheese 🧀

  • Sprinkle cheese on top
  • Cover and let melt (2–3 minutes)
