- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
- ¼ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil for frying
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Mixture
Add the chickpeas to a food processor and pulse until coarsely mashed but not completely smooth.
Transfer to a bowl and add:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Place the keftedes in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, turning until they become golden brown and crispy.

Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon.
