- 1 ½ cups unsweetened plant milk (oat or soy works best)
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp vegan butter or olive oil
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (or cornstarch for gluten-free)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp turmeric (for color)
- ½ tsp mustard (for tang, optional)
- Salt to taste
