  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened plant milk (oat or soy works best)
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter or olive oil
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (or cornstarch for gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric (for color)
  • ½ tsp mustard (for tang, optional)
  • Salt to taste
