Homemade Vegan Condensed Milk
This Homemade Vegan Condensed Milk is a simple, creamy, dairy-free alternative to traditional sweetened condensed milk. It’s rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet, making it ideal for desserts, coffee, baking, and sauces.
Traditional condensed milk is made by simmering milk and sugar until thick and concentrated. In this plant-based version, we recreate that silky texture using plant milk and natural sweeteners, giving you the same luxurious consistency without dairy.
🛒 Ingredients
- 2 cups unsweetened plant milk (soy, oat, or almond)
- ½ cup sugar (or coconut sugar)
- 1 tbsp vegan butter or coconut oil
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- pinch of salt
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Heat the Milk
Pour the plant milk into a saucepan and place over medium heat.
2️⃣ Add Sugar
Stir in the sugar and mix until completely dissolved.
3️⃣ Simmer
Reduce heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer gently.
Stir occasionally for 12–15 minutes until it reduces and thickens.

4️⃣ Finish the Flavor
Remove from heat and stir in:
- vegan butter or coconut oil
