Air Fryer Cod – Crispy, Flaky, and Perfect Every Time!
I picked up some cod at ALDI and decided to give it a go in the air fryer — and WOW, I think I’ve finally nailed it! Golden, crisp on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside — this Air Fryer Cod tastes like it came straight from a restaurant. 😋
🧂 Ingredients
- 2 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Pat the cod dry with paper towels (this helps it get crispy).
2️⃣ Mix the seasoning: Combine olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder in a small bowl.
3️⃣ Coat the fish: Brush or rub the mixture all over the cod fillets.
4️⃣ Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
5️⃣ Cook for 9–11 minutes, depending on thickness, until golden and flaky (internal temp 145°F / 63°C).
6️⃣ Serve immediately with lemon wedges and tartar sauce or your favorite dip!
